The Siyel Privacy Promise

Privacy is not an afterthought for us. It is the foundation on which Siyel was built. We believe that your personal moments, your creative experiments, and your visual journey belong to you and no one else. This document explains exactly how we handle your information, and the short version is simple: we collect as little as possible and keep everything local.

Zero Data Collection

Siyel does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or social media profiles. Because there is no account system, there is no centralized database of your personal information sitting on our servers. The app functions entirely on your device, which means the vast majority of your data never leaves your phone.

Your Visual Library

When you import photos into Siyel or capture new ones with your camera, those images are stored locally in your device's secure app sandbox. We do not upload them to the cloud, we do not back them up to our own servers, and we do not have the ability to view them. Your Before and After pairs, your tagged collections, your favorites, and your timeline are all private to you.

Camera and Photo Access

To provide the core experience, Siyel requests permission to access your camera and photo library. These permissions are triggered only when you actively choose to import an image or take a photograph. We do not access your camera roll in the background, and we do not scan for metadata beyond what is necessary to display your selected image inside the app. If you ever change your mind, you can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

No Tracking, No Profiling

We do not use tracking technologies to follow you around the internet. We do not build a profile of your interests, habits, or behaviors. We do not use third-party analytics services that would report your activity back to external companies. The only usage data we might see comes directly from you, in the form of emails or messages you choose to send us.

Local Storage Explained

Siyel uses your device's internal storage to keep track of your photo pairs, tags, development settings, and app preferences. This includes a local database and image files saved within the app container. Because everything is stored locally, you remain in complete control. Deleting the app will remove this data from your device, though your original photos in the system gallery will remain untouched.

Your Rights

Because we do not hold your data on remote servers, there is no complicated process for requesting a copy or asking for deletion. Your data is literally in your hands. You can export your content, delete individual pairs, clear cached thumbnails, or remove the app entirely whenever you wish. You have full ownership and control over everything you create.
